Our purpose
BipartisanPolitics.com is an independent, nonpartisan publication of The Washington Tribune® Company. Our focus is civic understanding, constructive disagreement and cooperation across political differences. We do not endorse political parties or candidates.
Fairness does not require a false balance
We explain serious perspectives fairly and apply consistent standards to claims. We do not treat unsupported assertions as equivalent to documented evidence. A proposal with cross-party support still deserves scrutiny; cooperation is a topic to examine, not a substitute for evaluation.
Our editorial approach
The site contains original editorial guides, with official references for civic procedures and historical examples. Discussion prompts are our suggestions. We distinguish source facts from interpretation, avoid invented interviews and seek permission before publishing reader submissions.
A lasting library
These guides are designed for repeated use, rather than a daily news cycle. Links and procedure-sensitive material should be reviewed periodically. Historical accounts include conflict and costs alongside achievements. Sources and dates accompany the relevant guides.
Corrections welcome
Send the page address, the statement you believe needs correction and the supporting source to our contact address. We will review the evidence and update material when warranted.
